* **The Toolbox**. Choose Image > Image > Adjustments > Enhance > Curves. Photoshop opens the Curves dialog box. This is where you set the basic curves for this image. The triangle at the top right has three windows: the Curve palette, the Hand tool, and the Zoom tool. (I talk more about the toolbox in Chapter 16.)
* **The Layers Panel**. To make a duplicate of the layer that contains the curve, choose Layer > Duplicate. You now have two identical layers with the same curve adjustment. In addition, you can hide/show, lock, and edit the duplicate layer.
* **Histogram**. The histogram is another helpful tool in Photoshop. When you first open an image, the histogram appears as a graph along the bottom of the screen. The peaks are along the top, with the bottom-left peak corresponding to the lightest parts of the image and the top-right peak representing the darkest parts.
By watching the peaks and the histogram, you can watch the distribution of the light and dark regions of your image.
* **Sharpen**. Photoshop includes a Sharpen filter for quickly sharpening images. To use it, choose Filter > Sharpen > Unsharp Mask.
On the Unsharp Mask dialog box, make the Amount slider taller to sharpen the image and slightly wider to reduce the amount of noise created.
Don’t let the dialog box scare you away — Photoshop’s unsharp mask filter is extremely effective when applied correctly. I’ve seen it sharpen images in dark rooms from small sources when other filters failed.

The most recent version of Photoshop Elements is version 16. I’ll be reviewing both the review version and the paid version of Photoshop Elements. However, for this review I’ll be using a free trial version of Elements 11.
How many Photos and Videos does it take?
Photoshop Elements has been around for ages and as it is a Windows program so it is only available on Windows. However, it is also available on macOS and even on iOS and Android devices.
If you want to run the program on a Mac, you’ll need to buy the Mac version. For this review I’ll be reviewing the Windows and macOS versions of Photoshop Elements as that is what most people will use.
However, there are also Photoshop Elements cloud service versions where you upload photos and videos to the cloud and then download them to your device using the internet. I’ll have a section at the end of this review covering this as it’s a popular tool.
If you are wondering how many photos and videos you can import into Elements; you can import up to 1,000 photos and 20 videos.
There is a limit of 10GB per image, though. This is different to the limit for devices like the iPhone and iPad where you can only import photos and videos up to a certain size.
The good news is that the size limit doesn’t restrict the number of photos and videos you can add into your library. You can add up to 2000 photos and 100 videos into your library.
In my experience, the only downside to Adobe Photoshop Elements is the usability. It is a difficult program to use because it is very basic and requires you to learn a lot of skills in order to perform basic tasks.
One of the things you will notice is that many tasks are customisable. For example, you can use the brightness and contrast slider to adjust the brightness and contrast of an image. You can also use the ellipses to increase or decrease the size of a section of a photo.
Another feature that you can customise is the rotate tool. It is quite useful as you can use it to rotate the tool, the canvas, the lightbox, and even a video.
However, the customisation options are extensive and it can be tricky to find a tool or use it correctly. It would be much easier if Adobe Photoshop Elements provided a tutorial to show you how to use the

Part of the Triforce. Magni and lava
Another cool little patch of the Jewel of the Gods. I dunno why this town didn’t exist earlier, but they’re quite certainly going to have to be an active town if they have Magni’s tower, meaning they have to actually have a town with a bunch of people living in it.
So yeah, I’m calling it the Magni Town now. It’s the one that the guy in the south has formed around his keeps since it’s there. The town is in the northeast corner of the map. There are also a bunch of boats in the water, including the Fishing Stick, so if you get bored fishing with the stick, you can actually go fishin’ for more.

How to configure classic ASP from IIS 7 using Web Reference
I want to configure a classic ASP application from IIS 7 using web reference. I have a sharepoint project where I’m using IIS 7 to host the application. When I try to access the application using the applet, the ASP application does not load, instead an error page is shown.
Here are the steps I took so far:
Configured IIS to sharepoint project folder
Configured IIS to allow anonymous access
Configured ASP to use Integrated Windows Authentication
Configured basic authentication in ASP.config file
Configured Web reference in app.config file
When I try to access I get the following error:
Protected methods in the derived class ‘WebReference1’ cannot be called
[ArgumentException: Protected methods in the derived class ‘WebReference1’ cannot be called]
System.Reflection.Emit.DynamicMethod.CreateDelegate(Type type) +0
System.Reflection.Emit.DynamicMethod.CreateDelegate(Type type) +7
App_Web_WebReference1.Init() in c:\sites\Develop\build\app-master\bin\App_Web_WebReference1.ascx.cs:38
App_Web_WebReference1.LoadWeb() in c:\sites\Develop\build\app-master\bin\App_Web_WebReference1.ascx.cs:60
App_Web_WebReference1.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) in c:\sites\Develop\build\app-master\bin\App_Web_WebReference1.ascx.cs:76
System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint) +743
Any ideas about what I’m missing?
You need to change the File path from Integrated Windows Authentication to Negotiate.
Change the asp.net Configuration to
OS: Windows XP SP3 or later (client)
Internet Explorer: 9.0 or later
OS: Windows 7 or later (client)
OS: Windows 2003 SP1 or later
Mac OS X 10.4 or later
